Optimization of Solid-Phase Extraction Conditions for Perfluorooctanoic Acid in Leachate

In order to optimize the solid phase extraction (SPE) conditions of perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) in raw leachate and treated leachate, effects activator properties, SPE cartridge, pH value, ionic strength, eluent properties were studied through single factor experiments. The optimal results each obtained. Considering that concentration PFOA is lower than have been further optimized. Based on above single-factor experiment, main influencing factors screened out as volume activator, eluent, three-factor three-level response surface methodology (RSM) was optimum from landfill follows: Activation weak anion exchange(WAX) cartridge with 10 mL methanol, dosage 600 mg KCl, 6 1% ammonia methanol eluted PFOA, theory recovery rate over 95.67%. It has verified error between predicted value actual small good repeatability.
